Kate Makes a Solo Appearance at the Royal Academy of Arts Reception

Last night Kate made a solo appearance at the arts institution in central London for a reception celebrating the best of British music, film, art and entertainment. The event was hosted by the Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt MP.

She walked the red carpet and was greeted by Prime Minister David Cameron.

The Duchess of Cambridge wore an elegant dove grey dress by Serbian born designer Roksanda Ilincic.

We first saw this outfit, which has an unusual slashed neckline, when she arrived in LA last year on her inaugural royal tour.

Roksanda Ilincic still has the dress available but you won't find it at their boutiques. You need to contact them via email. They are selling it in the US for $1300.

However the dress is still available at stores in a peridot color. This is described as a petrol blue wool crepe.

Thanks to WKW for the updated info. Kate's shoes, are in fact, navy suede and not black as we had first thought. These are Stuart Weitzman made for Russell and Bromley called 'Coco.' They are available in store, but not yet online.

Per Russell & Bromley on Twitter 'We can confirm that the Duchess wore Stuart Weitzman for Russell & Bromley SW Coco in Navy Suede to the Olympics yesterday.'
