As for her matching brown hat a-top her signature blow-dry, you may recognize it as the ‘Betty Boop’ from Lock and Company which she wore for a wedding in Switzerland and for St. Patrick’s Day in 2012.

Kate Looks Striking in Red as She Attends The Queen's Pre-Christmas Lunch

Mirror/PA

The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh traditionally host an annual pre-Christmas lunch for their family, before leaving for Sandringham where they spend the holidays. This allows them to catch up with more distant relations, who are not invited to join them at their country estate on December 25th.

William and Kate arrived at Buckingham Palace without Prince George, however on their way out, it was noted that the prince was seated alongside nanny Maria Theresa Borrallo in the back of his parents' car.

The movement, which has 446,000 youth members and already works in 70 of the 100 most deprived parts of the UK, will need to recruit 1,000 more adult volunteers to make the new groups viable.

Kate worked as a volunteer for the Scout Association when she and the Duke of Cambridge lived in Anglesey, North Wales, and this visit allowed her to get back into the swing of being an assistant.

The Duchess was invited to join a colony of Beaver Scouts for their weekly and participate in all of the activities including helping the children ice a cake blindfolded, cut up a chocolate bar with boxing gloves, learn the Scout Promise in sign language, and put on a wet suit while blindfolded.

These activities would help the children, aged between five and eight, at the 23rd Poplar Beaver Scout Colony Beavers, learn about life with disabilities and also earn a disability awareness badge.
